December 2016 Favorites

Every month I share a list of things that have been making me smile. This list is just for fun. If I were Oprah, I would give each of you reading this post one of everything, but I’m not so I’ll just tell you about them so you can check them out for yourself.

“Small Great Things” by Jodi Picoult
Jodi Picoult is by far my favorite author. I actually got the opportunity to email-interview her in college for the final project in a grammar class. I was excited for this book, but it by far exceeded my expectations. It’s definitely her best book yet.

C. C. Beanies
I bought four C.C. Beanies at the end of last winter because I found them super cheap, and I thought they were kind of cute. They’re also warm, and they match pretty much everything.

Aussie Three Minute Miracle Deep Conditioner
This might be the first budget-friendly conditioner I’ve ever tried that actually did what it said it would. Every time I use it, there’s a noticeable difference in my hair. I’ve been alternating the STRONG and MOIST conditioners every other night.

Graze Snack Box*
I saw a commercial to get a free snack box sometime around the end of November. I honestly expected it to be kind of lame, but I’m not one to turn down free snacks. I’ve been pleasantly surprised.
The portions look a little small, but they’re the perfect size for getting you through the 3 p.m. slump. I’m kind of in love with their snack mixes, too. They’re a fun, healthy play on the flavors of not-so-healthy treats, and they’re actually really delicious.
*This is an affiliate link. You’ll get a free box, and I’ll get a free box if three of you sign up. I would have told you about it even if there wasn’t something in it for me, though.

Garnier SkinActive Micellar Cleansing Water
I’ve used black eyeliner almost every day since a friend first let me try theirs in ninth grade. As much as I love eye makeup, I’ve always hated the process of taking it off. I’ve seen several beauty YouTubers raving about this product this year, and I just got around to trying it out for myself. It’s definitely my new favorite; it actually makes the eye-makeup removal process almost enjoyable. It works quickly and gently, without leaving my skin really oily. I love the way my skin feels after I use it, which sounds kind of weird.

What things have been making you smile this month? Let me know in the comments!
